It is important as accountants that we keep abreast of technology changes that are taking place related to hardware, software and overall systems in general. We need to do this for various reasons, a few of which are: 1) Changes in technology have and will continue to change what accounting is, how it is done, where it is done, etc. 2) As trusted business advisers accountants are many times the first to be consulted on new technology adoption within organizations, therefore we should be aware of new and cutting edges changes that may be taking place. How should you keep abreast of these changes and starting thinking about there impacts? I read many blogs, and have cultivated twitter followers that have a pulse of what's happening.
